A Whole New Line of Idea's!

As I posted yesterday, I found this design and fell in love with it because of my prior dance days so I bought it. I had no clue what I was going to put it on, I new I would figure something out, and I did! I stitched it out on a cloth canvas napkin and I am going to either stretch frame it, or frame it and make a wall hanging for a friend of mine! This led me to so many other idea's...for my nursery (noooo I don't need it yet) and for my sisters (yes she needs it!! LOL) Anyways- Here it is...I can't find my ruffler foot, so I used ribbon and I love the way it turned out! I think Miss Emma will like it too!!

I don't know why it looks so wrinkled, I ironed it before and after???

If you have to have this design too, it is still on sale!!!

New Designs!

A while back I bought this design. I just love it, and can not wait for an excuse to use it. I think I have the perfect idea, and after next week (when I finish my new job training, I will only be working one job from now on) I will have way more time for my embroidery, and SewMacy! Anyways, back to today, Jacki at Embroitique sent out an e-mail to all of her subscribers showing two new designs. Being a ballarina (ok, so I only took dance for 2 or 3 years back in my pre-teens) I fell in love with the Princess Gown, it just reminded me of my tu-tu days, and just had to have it! I am going to put all of my to-do's on hold for tomorrow and will be back to show you once I have it stitched out! Ohhhh and it's on sale right now too, so that is always a nice benifit, not to mention that all of her designs stitch out beautifuly, this is the site that I got Knox's birthday banner from!

Orders and Testing!

Last week I had family in town so I didn't get much done in my embroidery room! I did however figure out what was screwing up my machine, and I think I fixed it! I called one place to see how much to have it cleaned and they quoted me $ needless to say I will need to find a different place!

I believe that I am changing jobs at the end of the month, so that will leave me wayyyyy more time to work in my sewing room! I will go from 2 (was going to be 3 jobs in May) to 1 full time job! I am very excited!

Now on the the goods~ Tonight I will finish a VERY large custom order and show you guys pictures next time. But I have been testing, Lisa from Pickle Pie Designs asked me to test an unicorn. Now, when I was little I was never into unicorns so I had no clue what color of fabric to use, but I LOVE the way my unicorn turned out! I could so see this on a much so, that I might just have to make one!!

Then she asked me to test ladybugs. Let me tell you that these ladybugs stitch out so quickly, and darn it they are just cute!!

I am off to work....I will show you the order that I have been working on for the past 4 days on Friday! I LOVED the way that everything turned out!!!

Knox's Birthday Banner-Edited at bottom

My husband is going to kill me if he ever reads this, but I have to show you how Knox's Banner turned out. I finsihed it the night before reallly late, and knew I wouldn't have time to take a picture the next morning so I made my husband hold it up so I could get the best light, I know it's still not the best picture, but it looks awesome in person! When I saw the banners that everyone was making I knew I was going to make one for Knox (btw- Knox is my nephew, first baby in the fam, and oh so spoiled), I purchased the banner at, you can the their button to the left, when I purchased the banner a few weeks ago, I added the button because they have some awesome ITH projects.

So without further ado:

In Progress

Well all of the snow that I posted about sure put me majorly behind. Why you ask? Well Sunday morning we woke up and had about 7-8 inches in town. Now I don't know why, but on the outskirts of town they always have more....they had more like 10-12 inches, plus major wind that made huge snow drifts. So, back to the story at hand, my Husband and I were going to go to my Mom's restaurant, Home Depot (on Tuesday I threw out left over rice down the disposal...did you know that rice and plumbing don't mix, cuz I didn't)and then back home. First I had to go to a friends house and rescue some cats and take them to my Dad. Well as soon as we go onto a county road, things went bad! We were in a ditch in now time. A lot of people stopped and asked if they could help, but no one could get us I called a towing company. It took them an hour to get there, then an hour to get us out after getting stuck several times! So needless to say I ran about 2 hours behind ALL DAY!

I am currently working on business card holders from Friday's Fantastic Fun Fan Friday!

I have about 3 more to finsih! I also have to finish up my Craft It Forward- tissue holders

And I started making some pacifier hol
ders (LOVE making these!)

Plus I am working on some Easter presents, and testing designs for Lisa at Pickle Pie. I wish this could be my full time job!!

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL day!

I think it turned "Chatty" from 8clawsandapaw!

Yesterday I made 5 business card holders that my fans "won" from Friday and spreading the word about my store, and today I have 3 orders to fill!

That is if I can stop looking outside!

I made it!

Yesterday I found an awesome fan page on Etsy named, "Everything Etsy" and became a fan. Once a week they have an "I made it" day where people can link their blog on their page and show what they made, so here is what I have been doing:

About a month ago I was looking all over the internet for in the hoop designs and stumbled accross this wreath for St. Patty's Day. I love how it turned out, and I am trying to find a way to make one for Easter.

Something else that I love is the mini-easter basket. It has this floral design on it, which I didn't care for, so I skip that in my machine and merged names on them. GREAT Easter gifts, and a great low price. In fact, I currently have them on sale in my shop!

Green Eyed Monster-Envy That Is...

When I first bought my machine and was reading my friend Cole's blog, I saw a fabric eye-glass case that she had made. I. LOVED. IT. and wanted it sooooo bad, but it was for a 5x7 hoop, and as you remember I only had 4x4. I just kept telling myself, "self, you will make that some day!". Then I started reading Terri's blog and she too had made the cases for gifts, and again, I was envious, so I bet you can't guess the very FIRST ITEM that I bought only 20 mintues after getting home with my new guessed it....the fabric eye-glass case from Pickle Pie Designs!

I made my first one the next morning (I got home with my machine around 10:30, and my husband said I had to wait :(), and I think it turned out GREAT! I gave it to my sister Kinley for Valentine's Day. (Excuse the bad picture, I am horrible at taking pics, and my husband wasn't home!)

Then I finally made myself one two weeks later!

Then on Sunday I recieved an order for a boy's version, and was super excited! I think it turned out great!!

Now, I am just envious of their sewing ability, I wish I could say even after taking my sewing class that I signed up for, that I should/could/would be able to sew as good as them, however I know I am not patient, and I can only assume that you would have to have major patience for the items that they make!

Well I am off to buy some designs.....
Till next time!

Busy Weekend

I had a busy but very good weekend. I showed pictures of my sewing room on Saturday, and I am so glad that I got it all organized.

On Friday when I picked Ryan up from work, he informed me that he forgot to tell me that we had to go to a birthday party for a co-workers daughter who is turning 1. Well I knew right away what I wanted to do, a hooded towel made by Cole's tutorial with a cupcake ladybug that I was allowed to test from Lynnie Pinnie. The ladybug has not been released yet, but make sure to get it when it is, it is sooooo cute, and stitches great!

I think I got the name to close to the ladybug, but instead of using my digitizing software, I used my machine to merge the name, next time I will use my software!
I gotta get going to work, but if you would like to purchase a hooded towel that is personalized, just visit my shop!

Accomplished! That is how I feel….

Accomplished! That is how I feel….
I have been looking for fabric storage FOREVER….well about 2 months, but in my world FOREVER is longer than tomorrow! Anyways- I went to IKEA yesterday to pick up my lovely husband and was walking through AS-IS (scratch and dent) and found a wonderful CHEAP ($40.00) bookcase that would be perfect to hold my fabric, blanks, etc. It just so happened that I had some “SewMacy” money on me so I bought it!!
So even though it is a total embarrassment, I will show you before and after pics of my sewing (aka baby’s) room! (The after pics are dark because I don’t have hardly any light at night)

Now for the after: (The closet still needs help!)

Now I am off to complete some orders! Ta-Ta for now....

Thursday, March 11, 2010

Testing is so much fun!

I was very lucky to be allowed to test designs yesterday and today, and I have only been able to complete 3 of them so far, but plan on stitching all of them out this weekend.

These designs are from here. Lyndsie is the designer and all of her designs stitch out so nice and even. I own quite a few of her designs already so when I asked if she needed any testing done and she said yes, I was so excited! I believe these designs will be released this weekend.

Well, I must go...I am still testing one now, and I recieved two etsy orders today! WOOHOOO
Ta-Ta For Now.....

What I have been up to......

These last couple of weeks have just flown by! I have been busy with friends in town, orders on etsy (yea) and just playing with my new machine! I have found lots of new websites that I must share with you:

This website has a ton of in the hoop projects for all hoop sizes. They also have designs! Right now the monthly membership is on sale for $5.00 and you will have unlimited download! I have made several items from them and they stitch out great! Just watch the instructions...not the best at times. Here is the latest project that I made:

I also joined the alpha club at 8clawsandapaw. But only for one month, because- no way around it, I am CHEAP and it is $20.00 a month!

I have ben updating my etsy shop and listing things like crazy! I have also been bidding on jobs to try and build the
word about my shop. So good!

I made Knox a shirt for Patty's Day. I found the applique here,(I can't find the picture at the moment!)

I have so much else, however I just saw the it is pouring down rain and my dogs are I must jet!

Oh more site-

Having a blast!

I am having way to much fun with my new machine! Wayyyyy to much fun! I think I am driving my family crazy! I called my sister yesterday yesterday to tell her about something, and he response was "let me guess, you did that in your hoop?". So needless to say I have been excited!

I found a new website to order thread and stabilizer from. Go here. The small thread rolls are on sale, and the stabilizer is great so far. I even ordered some drop in prewound bobbins, and so far so good!

Here is what I have been doing:

WOW What a week~!

Well I must say this has been a GREAT week! I was able to score an awesome deal on a new machine (so if you are looking for an embroidery machine I have one for sale) that has a 6x10 hoop! Then on Friday, Ryan and I celebrated V-Day (as he always has to work on V-Day)so we went to dinner at Refrain. It was very very good, and I highly recomened it OVER Texas De Brazil! I have lots to show you that I have been working on this week....

The "Love Stinks" Skunk I purchased here.

I made the pillowcase dress, and for the life of me, can not remember where I got the bunny, but I LOVE it!

I made the flannel and minky burp pad from a file off of this site. It is so cute, and with it only being 9x6, is perfect for when you are on the go!

What little boy (of little boy's parents) don't love skull and crossbones? I got that design here! In fact, the whole site is 50% off still...I might just be going back!

I LOVE crosses, and they are very popular now, so when I saw this one, I had to have it. I also bought the others! Shhhhhh, don't tell Ryan how many I buy!!

Well, I am off, this morning I am making hooded towels, thanks to my friends tutorial. You can read here blog here. Her sewing and embroidery capabilites are incrediable!

Easter Towels and LollyPops!

My Mom's Birthday was yesterday, her and I have simailar taste and when I purchased this design I knew she would want it on a towel, and I was right. I stiched up this design to go with it and they are so stinking cute! In fact so cute that I made a set for my etsy shop!

Saturday night while out with Haven and Steven we had to stop at Joanne's. I got so inspired so when I woke up early Sunday morning (7am) and couldn't go back to sleep I made this out:
I am going to put this on my Etsy shop also! Everyone that I know is having I guess I need to make a boy outfit or two. I love how my korker bow/headband turned out, I think I will be making more of them! And so easy...I hope I have girls, way more options of things to make for them.

Well I am off to start my day.....I hope everyone has a wondermus week!

Patience-Or Lack There Of!

I used to have all of the patience in the world~ I was going to be a teacher so I was going to need it. However, after working for a highly demanding lawyer, then a highly demanding EA, and then working with an even HIGHLY demanding father, I have zip zero zulch patience left.

But I am very slowly working at adding it. I need to make sure I have it back before kids, or I am going to be in for it!

Anyways- back to the point....Last night I received an email about a site that I LOVE to buy designs from, saying that they were having a .99 cent sale and 50% off the rest of the site. Well as Ryan would say "Who is Macy to turn down a sale?" so I motored on over there and got some of the most aswesomest (yes that is a word...just don't go look it up!)designs and I just have to share with you. this lollypop, gothic cross, and this cross.
I can NOT wait to try these out, hopefully this weekend. Plus my serger should be coming this weekend! WOOOHOOO AND the remodel on the living room, dining room should be done. Then if I can squeeze ONE more item, I may have to make some korker bows. See why I need patience? The remodel could go awry and nothing else could get done.....I just don't know if I have the patience for that!

I'm back!

I'm back! I missed the internet so much! Long story short- I fired AT&T....and now we have suddenlink! LOVE IT!

Now back to the program at hand~

I wanted a Valentine's Day Banner so back, however as the story goes- they are for the "bigger" hoops, so I was so excited when I found a banner for the 4x4 hoop! I got it at http://http// I love the way it turned out.
This weekend besides the remodel of the house I am going to get back into the sewing room...I have been going "crazy" with all of these sales and been buying much to do (want to do) so little time. It seems as if this "work" thing always gets into the way of what I want to do!
Till next time....

"The hurrieder I go, The behinder I get"

Have you ever had those weeks when it's only Monday and just to think about the rest of the week makes you tired? Yup-that's me!
I need to make a to-do list, so please don't mind me!

Bookkeeping for client
Finish Christmas Gifts (I had to wait for the blanks to be delivered) and mail
Mail purchased patterns
Finish measuring the 8 boxes of fabric, list, and advertise
Start the demo of the living room and dinning room with Ryan
Work (hehe)
Finish tax return
Cut the bulk meat and cheese we bought this weekend (Gotta love Restaurant Depot)

And I want to sew sooooooo bad! But I am banned till I get all of the fabric measured! Well, I am off to mark an item off....have a great day!

Yahoo and Photobucket

I am currently a little upset with Yahoo Groups. Apprently I obtained a nasty virus with malware and adware by visiting a yahoo group. It was such a nasty one that my husband Ryan had to reformat the computer and reload windows back onto the laptop! I almost freaked out thinking that I had lost all of my embroidery files! (Not to mention all of the bookkeeping that I do on the side for clients!) But never fear, I am good to go!

Now....drum roll please......I have uploaded the notions and started to upload the fabric that I have for sale. I still have about 8 more boxes that I need to measure and upload, but I am getting started. All fabric is pre-cut and $1.00 a yard. If the measurement was between a yard (ie; 1/2 yard) I rounded down. If you find yourslef wanting quite a bit of things, lets make a deal! I need this stuff out of my house!

I don't have any eyecandy to post today, however if you have a minute, check out my friend Nicole's blog, I would love to make what she made today!

Darn Lucky!

I have really I do....I also can dream things before they happen and give you a heads up...but that is for another day! Anyways, back to luck...Ryan called his Mom on Friday and during casual conversation, she happened to mention that his Grandma (Nona) had a serger in her garage that she didn't use. Did he think I would want it?
That made my day~ last night she called to tell me that make and model. I only have to pay for shipping...yea!!!! Its an older model, but perfect for me to learn on. BabyLock BL 3200.

Goal: Third Monday Trade's Day in McKinney

I want a lot of things. I always want a lot of things! I can honestly say I normally get them, but not by just going and getting them. We were raised, if you want it, you have to work for it. So that is what I do. I want a serger, a bigger machine, more blanks, and to have a postitive "embroiery" budget, so what do I need to do? SELL SELL SELL! So in March Haven, Mary, and I are going to share a booth at 3rd Monday Trade's Day in McKinney. I will sell things that I can embroider, Haven has coasters, and Mary has memory boards.

I need to get a move on! I want burps, bibs, headbands, mugs, tu-tu's, pillowcase dresses, etc. I am still going through fabric to list for sale. Hopefully after we get rid of our computer virus at home I can list the notions that I have for sale, which reminds me, here is the link for my patterns, please make sure to share the link with anyone!

I leave you with a picture (found above) of my very first tu-tu that I made! It was so easy and took about 40 minutes! LOVE IT!

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Patterns you asked? Sure I got 'um....

Approximately 200 pictures have been taken tonight, uploaded to photobucket, and then priced. I am tuckered out! And to think that I have something like 2 more boxes....and that's only the patterns. Then I have the fabric, buttons (a TON of buttons), zippers, elastic, and odds n ends to list. But, this is what could open the doors to my embroidery business that I want. No, I can't order the bigger machine I want, no I can't order the serger I want. BUT I can order the embroidery blanks that I need, I can buy the towels that I want, and I might have a lil fabric stash myself! Not to mention the patterns that didn't even make it to listing! haha....

Now about those patterns, here are the links:

Now, I know that I only have two followers, however I know you two have PLEASE feel free to spread the word about the great pattern sale....and then the great button sale...etc!

Now I am off to read emails and do the things that need to be done. Instead of eye candy, tonight I leave you with what my rec room looks like! HAHA
