"The hurrieder I go, The behinder I get"

Have you ever had those weeks when it's only Monday and just to think about the rest of the week makes you tired? Yup-that's me!
I need to make a to-do list, so please don't mind me!

Bookkeeping for client
Finish Christmas Gifts (I had to wait for the blanks to be delivered) and mail
Mail purchased patterns
Finish measuring the 8 boxes of fabric, list, and advertise
Start the demo of the living room and dinning room with Ryan
Work (hehe)
Finish tax return
Cut the bulk meat and cheese we bought this weekend (Gotta love Restaurant Depot)

And I want to sew sooooooo bad! But I am banned till I get all of the fabric measured! Well, I am off to mark an item off....have a great day!

Yahoo and Photobucket

I am currently a little upset with Yahoo Groups. Apprently I obtained a nasty virus with malware and adware by visiting a yahoo group. It was such a nasty one that my husband Ryan had to reformat the computer and reload windows back onto the laptop! I almost freaked out thinking that I had lost all of my embroidery files! (Not to mention all of the bookkeeping that I do on the side for clients!) But never fear, I am good to go!

Now....drum roll please......I have uploaded the notions and started to upload the fabric that I have for sale. I still have about 8 more boxes that I need to measure and upload, but I am getting started. All fabric is pre-cut and $1.00 a yard. If the measurement was between a yard (ie; 1/2 yard) I rounded down. If you find yourslef wanting quite a bit of things, lets make a deal! I need this stuff out of my house!

I don't have any eyecandy to post today, however if you have a minute, check out my friend Nicole's blog, I would love to make what she made today!

Darn Lucky!

I have luck...no really I do....I also can dream things before they happen and give you a heads up...but that is for another day! Anyways, back to luck...Ryan called his Mom on Friday and during casual conversation, she happened to mention that his Grandma (Nona) had a serger in her garage that she didn't use. Did he think I would want it?
That made my day~ last night she called to tell me that make and model. I only have to pay for shipping...yea!!!! Its an older model, but perfect for me to learn on. BabyLock BL 3200.

Goal: Third Monday Trade's Day in McKinney

I want a lot of things. I always want a lot of things! I can honestly say I normally get them, but not by just going and getting them. We were raised, if you want it, you have to work for it. So that is what I do. I want a serger, a bigger machine, more blanks, and to have a postitive "embroiery" budget, so what do I need to do? SELL SELL SELL! So in March Haven, Mary, and I are going to share a booth at 3rd Monday Trade's Day in McKinney. I will sell things that I can embroider, Haven has coasters, and Mary has memory boards.

I need to get a move on! I want burps, bibs, headbands, mugs, tu-tu's, pillowcase dresses, etc. I am still going through fabric to list for sale. Hopefully after we get rid of our computer virus at home I can list the notions that I have for sale, which reminds me, here is the link for my patterns, please make sure to share the link with anyone! http://s1013.photobucket.com/albums/af257/Sewmacy/Box%20One/

I leave you with a picture (found above) of my very first tu-tu that I made! It was so easy and took about 40 minutes! LOVE IT!

Have a wonderful day!

Patterns you asked? Sure I got 'um....

Approximately 200 pictures have been taken tonight, uploaded to photobucket, and then priced. I am tuckered out! And to think that I have something like 2 more boxes....and that's only the patterns. Then I have the fabric, buttons (a TON of buttons), zippers, elastic, and odds n ends to list. But, this is what could open the doors to my embroidery business that I want. No, I can't order the bigger machine I want, no I can't order the serger I want. BUT I can order the embroidery blanks that I need, I can buy the towels that I want, and I might have a lil fabric stash myself! Not to mention the patterns that didn't even make it to listing! haha....

Now about those patterns, here are the links:

Now, I know that I only have two followers, however I know you two have friends...so PLEASE feel free to spread the word about the great pattern sale....and then the great button sale...etc!

Now I am off to read emails and do the things that need to be done. Instead of eye candy, tonight I leave you with what my rec room looks like! HAHA

Serger Wanted But Not Needed

Two years ago when I met Ryan he asked what hobbies I had? I answered, "Well I LOVE ro read". He told me that reading was not a hobby! When I moved in with him, I had nothing to do if he was at work, so again he brought up the subject of a hobby. I again told him that I am NOT a crafty person, I like to read. Fast forward a year; his Mom, Step-Dad, Ryan and I went to Canton. I found pet beds for $5.00 a piece, I bought 4 because we have 4 dogs. I got them home and the puppies made what I called "a sleep number bed" the first night we had them! They just tore them to pieces! Well Ryan just happened to have a sewing machine (don't even ask me why!) in the storage unit and told me that I needed to make them new ones! Well that is all it took! I have been sewing for about a year now. And to think that I FAILED sewing in highschool with a 69! Now fast forward a year:
I am currently using what we call the "babies" room for my sewing. When we have a real baby I am in trouble! I have a sewing machine and an embroidery/sewing machine, and as of last night I would KILL to add a serger! It is not any big secret that I CAN NOT cut straight, and a serger cuts it as it sews it: ALL STRAIGHT! The things I could do.....I did find a used one on craigslist for $75.00 but after last nights purchase of about 59 boxes of fabric (I will get to that in a minute) my "embroidery" account is gone. So the serger is a far away thought right now.

Now 59 boxes give or take of fabric:
Found a listing on craigslist for a large lot of fabric. Being a "Murray" and do things the right way, I asked the guy "How much for everything?" needless to say we worked out a deal, and if he delivers tonight at 6:30 I will be the new owner of an 18 foot trailer (59 or so boxes) full of fabric! I am going to sort, organize, take pictures and sell everything that I don't want. And let me tell you I will be making some deals! I do not even have the space to keep that much fabric, let alone the money, so stay tuned for the fabric deal of the year!

On that note; I need to go and search craigslist..... I will leave you with some eye candy. Enjoy!

Everyone else is doing it!

Well I finally followed a trend and started a blog, however I am sure my sister Brittney wishes it was a fashion trend! Last fall I got the bug to purchase an embroidery machine after make lots of burp clothes, and after winning big in Vegas, I was able to purchase a Brother HD240. Now with the budget that I had, this was the best machine I could find after countless hours of research, and I LOVE it. However, I REALLLLLLLYYYYYYY already have "hoop envy" and want a bigger machine! Hopefully my sales on etsy shop found here :www.etsy.com/sewmacy will take off and I will be able to purchase a bigger machine.

I have lots of plan, lots of favorite items, and lots to share but I can't overload you in the first post so I will leave you with my favorite item of the day! (As I write that I don't even have followers, so I don't even have anyone to overload)
